Självklart måste jag använda det jag just har gjort.

I thought New Years Eve deserved something special, so I've got two outfits to show you from that day. Lets start with the day version.

Jag tyckte att nyårsafton förtjänade något speciellt, så jag har två klädkombinationer att visa från den dagen. Till att börja med, dagsversionen.

Detail of the blouse collar.

The blouse has a few nice details. They are just a bit hard to photograph. The collar is cut on the bias and that gives it an interesting shape. There's also button closures at the back of the neck and at on of the sides of the waist. I think the blouse is cute, but I'm not entirely sure about the pattern of the fabric.

Blusen har en del fina detaljer. De är bara lite svåra att fotografera. Kragen är skuren på skrådden och det ger den en intressant form. Det finns också knäppningar vid nacken och vid midjans ena sida. Jag tycker att blusen är söt, men jag är inte helt säker på tygets mönster.

I wore something else in the evening.

These are much nicer clothes, aren't they? I've made them myself, to me those clothes are always the best. I love this jacket! I feel so good and pretty in it. There's a few more pictures of it at Flickr, link to the back. If you look at that photo, you can see that I'm not a perfect weaver.

I've made the skirt. I'm not a fan of black clothes, but I can see that they are practical and good to have in your wardrobe. Therefore I bought a black wool fabric and planned to make an all black skirt. As you can see, it didn't end up an all black skirt. Right now I'm planning to make all black pants. It's going to be interesting to see how they turn out.

Jag har gjort kjolen. Jag gillar egentligen inte svarta kläder, men jag kan förstå att de är praktiska och bra att ha i sin garderob. Därför köpte jag ett svart ylletyg och planerade att sy en helt svart kjol. Som du kan se, blev det inte en helt svart kjol. Just nu planerar jag att sy ett par helt svarta byxor. Det ska bli intressant att se hur de kommer att bli.

Every garment on me today are bought second hand (the accessories aren't). If I had all the time in the world I would make everything in my closet. That's not possible. The next best thing is to shop second hand. It's much more exciting that going to a regular shop. You never know what you'll find, or even if you'll find something.

Alla plagg som jag har på mig idag är köpta second hand (accessoarerna är inte det). Om jag hade all tid i världen så skulle jag göra allt i min garderob. Det är inte möjligt. Det näst bästa är att handla second hand. Det är mycket mer spännande än att gå till vanliga affärer. Du vet aldrig vad du hittar, eller om du hittar något överhuvudtaget.

The shirt was bought on an unusually lucky day. I did not only find that shirt, but also the shirt from the last two days and a dark blue silk shirt. Lucky was also the day when the wool skirt became mine. I did not only buy that skirt, but also another wool skirt. The sad thing about second hand shopping is that I almost always only find tops. You can imagine how happy I felt when I found not only one, but two skirts. I love skirts!

Skjortan köpte jag på en ovanligt lyckad dag. Jag hittade inte bara den här skjortan, utan också skjortan från de två föregående dagarna och en mörkblå sidenskjorta. Lycklig var också dagen då yllekjolen blev min. Jag köpte inte bara den kjolen, utan också en till yllekjol. Det tråkiga med second hand är att jag nästan bara hittar överdelar. Du kan föreställa dig hur glad jag kände mig när jag hittade inte en, utan två kjolar. Jag älskar kjolar!

I'm wearing the same shirt and pants as yesterday, but the rest is new! The vest is made from one of my moms old sweaters. I felted it in the washing machine and molded it into the perfect shape on the dressform. The pattern was added with needle felting. The yarn used for the needle felting is spun from the wool of my deceased sheep Elsa and it's vegetable dyed.

Jag har samma skjorta och byxor som igår, men resten är nytt! Västen är gjord av en av min mammas gamla tröjor. Jag filtade den i tvättmaskinen och gav den rätt form på provdockan. Mönstret applicerades med nålfiltning. Garnet som användes till nålfiltningen är spunnet är ull från mitt avlidna får Elsa och det är växtfärgat.

It was really fun to make the vest as it included lots of freedom and no pattern. The only negative thing was that it took forever to do the needle felting. Just one of many things that have taken longer time than I thought before I started it. But as is often the case, it was still worth it.

Det var väldigt kul att göra västen eftersom det innebar mycket frihet och inget mönster. Det enda negativa var att nålfiltningen tog en evighet. Bara en av många saker som har tagit längre tid än vad jag trodde innan jag började. Men som ofta är fallet, så var det värt det ändå.

The shirt is so beautiful. The details are so pretty and it's made on a very fine wool fabric. I love it!

The cardigan I'm wearing is very warm, it's not cold at all being outside wearing it. The yarn contains camel hair and is very soft. Out of everything I've knitted and crocheted, I'm most proud of the construction of this cardigan.

Koftan som jag har på mig är väldigt varm, det är inte alls kallt när man är utomhus och har den på sig. Garnet innehåller kamelhår och är väldigt mjukt. Av allt som jag har stickat och virkat, så är jag mest stolt över konstruktion av den här koftan.

This is what I wore yesterday when we celebrated Christmas. The dress is very dear to me. I made it 5 years ago. At that time I took a weaving course and I wove the fabric there. I had never cut out pattern pieces in handwoven fabric before nor sewn anything from such a fabric. It was kind of scary, and it took quite a long time to sew it together, lots of handsewing. But it's reversible, so I have two dresses that I can wear forever! It was so worth it.

Det här hade jag igår när vi firade jul. Klänningen är väldigt speciell. Jag gjorde den för 5 år sen. Då gick jag en vävkurs och jag vävde tyget där. Jag hade aldrig klippt ut mönsterdelar i ett handvävt tyg förut och inte heller sytt i ett sådant tyg. Det var lite läskigt, och det tog ganska lång tid att sy ihop den, massor av handsömnad. Men den är vändbar, så jag har två klänningar som jag kan använda förevigt! Det var helt klart värt det.

Compared to yesterday, this is more like my style. The vest is one of my favorites. I bought the skirt yesterday. It's made of a very nice pleated wool fabric and it's actually a couple of sizes too large. But I can't resist buying clothes in great materials and it stays on, even if the waist is quite low.

Jämfört med gårdagen, så är det här mer min stil. Västen är en av mina favoriter. Jag köpte kjolen igår. Den är gjort av ett väldigt fint plisserat ylle tyg och är egentligen några storlekar för stor. Men jag kan inte motstå att köpa kläder i fina material och den sitter uppe, även om midjan är lite låg.

I love clothes. Garments of good materials in nice colors make me happy. That doesn't mean I dress with a plan every day, although I really would like to wear wonderful clothes all the time!

On the days where I've actually put some thought into what I'm wearing and also managed to take a photo of it, I'll post about it here. It's kind of fun, cause I don't have a full size mirror, so it's unusual to see what I look like from top to toe.

De dagar då jag faktiskt har tänkt till lite angående min klädsel och även lyckats ta ett foto av det, kommer jag att skriva om det här. Det är lite roligt, jag har ingen stor spegel, så det är ovanligt att se hur jag ser ut från topp till tå.

Todays look isn't completely my style, but I like the individual garments very much. When I bought the pants I liked the stripes and all the pockets, but also that they didn't feel like my style at all.

Dagens look är inte helt och håller min stil, men jag tycker om alla plagg väldigt mycket. När jag köpte byxorna gillade jag ränderna och alla fickorna, men också att de inte alls kändes som jag.
