Step 1

Cut out the lining and sewed it together. I used a linen tabelcloth as lining and didn't add any seam allowances to the top and bottom edge.

Klippte ut fodret och sydde ihop det. Jag använde en linneduk som foder och la inte till några sömsmåner till över- och nederkanten.

This is what the inside looks like.

Step 2

Sewed the plastic things (what are they called in English?) onto the seams of the lining, and also to the sides of the back opening.

Sydde fast plastfjädrarna på fodrets sömmar, och dessutom längs ryggöppningens sidor.

Step 3

Sewed the hooks and eyes to the sides of the back opening by hand.

Sydde fast hyskorna och hakarna runt ryggöppningen för hand.

Closes with hooks and eyes at the back.

Step 4

Cut out bias strips from the lining fabric and sewed them to the top and bottom edge of the lining bodice.

Klippte ut snedremsor från fodertyget och sydde fast dem längs över- och nederkanten av foderlivet.

Step 5

Cut out the outer fabric and sewed it together. This time with seam allowances added to all sides.

Klippte ut yttertyget och sydde ihop det. Den här gången med sömsmåner tillagda på alla sidor.

Step 6

Pinned the outer fabric and the lining together. Folded the seam allowances of the outer fabric over and sewed it all together by hand. All done.

Nålade ihop yttertyget och fodret. Vek in yttertygets sömsmåner och sydde ihop allt för hand. Allt klart.

The lining and outer fabric was handsewned together.

The orange fabric is indescribably beautiful.

I had planned to use a fabric for the dress that matched the grey better, but in a way I think this looks much cooler.

The belt can be reversed.

It's much prettier in real life.

Not the only thing I've finished during the last few days, but definitively the one I like the best. The fabric is the leftovers from the skirt that can be seen in Weavezine.

The new sewing machine has been wonderful so far.

• Had to shovel snow from the path to friggeboden. The snow reached at least to my knees, it hadn't snowed that much, but the wind had blowed tons of snow onto my path.

  Var tvungen att skotta snö från gången till friggeboden. Snön räckte åtminstonde till mina knän, det hade inte snöat speciellt mycket, men vinden hade blåst massvis med snö till min gång.

• Didn't have cold toes while milking the cows, for the first time in a long time. At least the weather was go for something.

  Hade inte kalla tår när jag mjölkade korna, för första gången på länge. Vädret var i alla fall bra till nått.
