welcome, this is Made in Hägn

a website devoted to the importent things in life

creativity, style and individuality

Something has been woven

The first samples have been made. It looks promising, but not perfect.

De första proverna är gjorda. De ser lovande ut, men inte perfekt.

Weave draft

Weave draft from Dictionary of Weaves.

Woven sample with red cotton yarn as weft

Here the weft is a cotton yarn.

Woven sample with linen weft

A one plyed linen yarn used as weft.

Woven sample with cashmere weft

A cashmere knitting yarn as weft.

Woven sample grey with wool weft

The weft is the same wool yarn as the warp in the Weavezine skirt.

The warp is a silk yarn nm 24/2. The sett here is 8 ends per centimeter. Right now I'm trying 10 ends per centimeter.

Varpen är ett sidengarn nm 24/2. Varptätheten är 8 trådar per centimeter. Just nu provar jag 10 trådar per centimeter.

OH MY GOD i hope you slowly become crazy fast at weaving soon!!! i would seriously pay you! i saw your flickr photos they are insane! soooo cooooool!!! we don’t learn nothing at parsons about textiles and there isn’t even a room with a loom or where we can dye stuff! it’s so damn pathetic and we pay so much money, and there are no facilities!!! it sucks! and it’s supposed to be a world-class school! i’m insanely jealous that you learnt that. i would be so happy if i could even design my own weave!

Thanks! We'll see how my weaving develops. Learning to weave was definitively one of the best things I've done.

Visst är det spännande! När man provväver vet man ju aldrig vad man får.

Comments in both english and swedish are okey.

Kommentarer på både svenska och engelska är välkomna.
